Trying to grow your small business? Growing your small business can be confusing, especially in today’s environment. So many different people on YouTube and Facebook and all over social media are saying different things about how to grow your business. Also, the pandemic is making such a shift in how we can even conduct our business. Even how people think about things has been shifting.
Luckily, there is a way to sift through all the confusion and focus on what matters most. Now you might be wondering what makes me different from all these other people. Well, probably not much. I’m a struggling business owner, just like everyone else. I’ve been impacted by the Pandemic just like everyone else.
I have some tools, some experience, and a global team of coaches that I work with to develop strategies that have been helping small businesses grow for the past 25 years. The best way to grow your business is in these Stages of Business. In our experience we use Six Stages or steps as we like to call them.
The first step is Mastery. Mastery is about bringing in control. It’s about building a solid foundation. It’s about going from chaos to control.
That brings us into Niche. Once we have that foundation, once we have that stability, then we move into the Niche stage. Niche is where we start to look at our marketing and understanding how do we bring in cash consistently? We understand how it is that we can take our marketing and actually develop it to a way that we know just exactly what we need to do to bring in cash and how much we need to invest to do that. That brings in cash.
Then we can move into the next level called Systems. The System stage is where we start to systemize every area of the business. This is critical because we need to bring in the efficiency that allows us to have a team then do the work.
That’s why when we move up to the next stage Team, this is where we build a Team that could run the business as well as you can. See, our Team can actually do more than what we can do, and we have to be able to allow them to do it, but they need the Systems. They need the efficiency and we need the cash and the stability so that we can then have that Team truly start to take over. And we can focus on that Team.
This then brings us up to the next level, which is Synergy. Synergy is about growth. This is where we don’t need to be in the business 24/7 anymore.
We can actually take a step back and start to look at all the different aspects of our business. And we can start to turn up the volume, which is what we learned in Niche. And then we can examine our Systems, our Team, our structures, all to make sure that everything is stable. As we continue to turn up the volume.
And that naturally brings us into the sixth stage, which is Results. This is where you have the opportunity to get the time, money and freedom out of business that we all went into business for in the first place.
Doesn’t that sound exciting? Now, 92% of businesses are in the Mastery Stage. So the chances are that’s where you are. And even if you think you are in a later stage, it would be useful to review the mastery level, to ensure that you have the solid foundation in place that you need to grow it and take it to the next level.
